That's it? Kirill wants to go to space? Why? Couldn't he even try to contrive a Church-related excuse for why he wants to go? Like to contradict the Soviet space program about there being no God?


I wish Kirill would show a bit more sobriety. Already he's been criticized for corruption and possessing luxury items. The last thing he needs is to show people that he thinks he is entitled to joyriding in space.

I hear what you're saying, but consider how loudly the Patriarch's space visit would contradict the whole Westernized religion/science dichotomy.

Sometimes self-serving people and activities can unintentionally provide benefits for everyone else.
